GLASS ROOF EXTENSION FOR TERRACED HOME
The owners of this mid-terraced house in Chiswick wanted to create more space and light in the kitchen by extending out into the side return and the garden. The wintergarden’s pitched roof structure reflects their home’s period character, neatly extending out from the extension roofline.
VERSATILE BIFOLD DOORS A GREAT OPTION FOR THIS EXTENSION
A glass structure incorporating a five-panel set of bifold doors and rooflights has created a remarkably bright and inviting open plan space, with room for a home office and relaxing seating with views to the garden. This project shows how effective a combination of glass roof and large rooflights can be to bring light into an older property. The bifold system creates a wall of glass which can be completly folded back to the outside walls or with configurations for partial opening.
